The photographer is not credited. The State Library of Louisiana dates the photo only to 1940-1949. Their caption says, "B&W photo, Circa 1940s. Jefferson Parish library. Bridgedale Library. Metairie, La. Standing Mrs. Mary Lindsey, seated unknown." While the caption refers to "Bridgedale," this is the "Old Metairie" library branch, on Metairie Road. The parish library system expanded in 1949. So, that narrows the date of the photo. It's possible this photo dates to 1950-1951....
